Om arrangementet
How can computational design contribute to innovation without erasing local identity?
Digital design tools create new possibilities for architecture, urban development, art, and product design. At the same time, international digital expressions can easily become generic and disconnected from the places where they are built.
This event explores how computational design can be used in a way that takes culture, tradition, and local character into account. Through examples from architecture, art, and design, we discuss how new technology can develop in dialogue with place and identity — without replacing what is already there.
The topic is important because buildings, urban spaces, and public places affect how we experience belonging, history, and community. As new technology becomes more influential in the construction industry, we should also discuss how it can be used responsibly: not only to create new forms, but to develop solutions that respect local qualities and cultural traces.
