As the Arctic continues to emerge as a region of global significance—environmentally, geopolitically, and culturally—Canada and the Nordic countries stand at the forefront of shaping its future. This high-level panel brings together the Canadian and Nordic Ambassadors to Norway for a timely and insightful discussion on shared priorities, challenges, and opportunities in the Arctic.
Drawing on our northern identities, and longstanding commitments to sustainable development, Indigenous peoples, and international cooperation, the Ambassadors will explore how Canada and the Nordic countries can navigate the evolving Arctic landscape in light of the current Geopolitical challenges.
This conversation will highlight the values and strategies that underpin Canadian and Nordic engagement in the region, emphasizing the importance of inclusive, peaceful, and environmentally responsible approaches to Arctic stewardship.
