Om arrangementet

Fortescue, one of the world's largest metals and energy companies, will be discussing the green hydrogen revolution and the significance the industry can have for Norway during Arendalsuka on August 14th. In 2023, Fortescue received a record-high EU grant of 204 million euros for industrial projects in Bremanger and Hemnes. This is the largest amount the EU has ever awarded to a Norwegian project. The goal is to start production of green hydrogen and green ammonia in 2027.

Fortescue wants to elevate the debate about investments in Norway, how Norway can take a leading role in the green transition, and how green hydrogen and green ammonia can contribute to cutting emissions and decarbonizing sectors that are difficult to electrify both in Norway and in Europe.

The conversation will be moderated by Peter Gitmark, Senior Advisor at Hill & Knowlton.
